Cheapest AI UGC video generators in 2026, compared honestly

By Venkata Vamsi · Updated · 9 min read

Short answer

As of October 2026, the cheapest AI UGC video per clip is a HeyGen avatar video at roughly $0.50 to $0.80 per 20 seconds on its $29 Creator plan, followed by Creatify's 15-second avatar videos at about $0.91 to $1.36 and Addy's full 20-second ads at about $1.35. Arcads is the most expensive at around $11 per video, and MakeUGC and Superscale do not publish a per-video cost.

I run Addy, which makes AI UGC video ads, so you should read this knowing I have a horse in the race. I wrote it anyway because most "cheapest AI UGC tool" lists are written by the tools themselves and quietly pick the comparison that makes them win. This one uses each vendor's own pricing page, checked on October 25, 2026, and shows the math so you can redo it.

The short version: we are not the cheapest per clip. Two competitors beat us on a pure per-second basis for avatar videos. Where we think we are cheapest is the cost of a finished, postable ad, and I will explain exactly what that means and where the argument is weak.

How did we calculate the price per ad?

AI UGC tools almost all sell credits, and a credit means something different on every platform. To compare them we did the same thing for each one:

  1. Take the cheapest paid plan's monthly price from the vendor's own pricing page.
  2. Find how many credits one video costs, from the vendor's pricing page or help center.
  3. Divide the price by the number of videos the plan buys.

Where a vendor does not publish what a video costs in credits, we say so instead of guessing. Where we had to rely on a third party because the vendor hides its prices, we name the source and its date. All prices are in US dollars, as of October 2026, before taxes. Annual billing is cheaper on most of these tools; we show monthly first because that is what you pay to try one.

One caveat up front: video lengths differ. Creatify quotes 15-second avatar videos, we default to 20 seconds, and HeyGen bills by the minute. We normalised where the vendor gives a per-minute rate and kept the vendor's own unit where it does not.

How the HeyGen numbers work: HeyGen's help center lists Avatar IV with a video-based look at 31 credits per minute and Avatar V at 48 credits per minute. Twenty seconds is about 10 or 16 credits, so 600 credits buys roughly 58 or 37 clips. Its Video Agent, which builds a whole video from a prompt, is listed at 80 credits per minute, which works out to about $1.30 per 20 seconds.

How the Creatify numbers work: its Standard card lists 55 credits a month and "11 videos" for Aurora 15-second avatar videos, so 5 credits each. The page shows $15 and $10 next to a save-30%-on-annual banner; we read $10 as the annual rate. Its Pro plan, at $55 a month for 280 credits, brings an Aurora video down to about $0.98. The same Standard plan lists only 7 Seedance 2.0 five-second clips, about $2.14 per 5 seconds, so the model you pick changes the price a lot.

Arcads does not publish its prices. The eesel.ai figure comes from reviewers who went through Arcads' onboarding; treat it as an estimate and check the paywall.

So which AI UGC video generator is actually cheapest?

It depends on what you count as a video.

If you want the lowest price per second of a talking avatar, HeyGen is cheapest. At around 50 cents for 20 seconds of Avatar IV, it beats us by more than half. If your ad is a presenter reading a script in front of a background, and you are happy to write the script, HeyGen is very hard to beat on price.

If you want ad-focused avatars with a short, fixed length, Creatify is competitive. On annual billing its 15-second avatar video is under a dollar, which is cheaper than our 15-second ad on monthly billing.

If you want a finished ad from a URL, the comparison shifts. An Addy ad at about $1.35 includes the parts the per-clip numbers above leave out: reading your website, writing the hook and script, generating the whole scene (person, place, product, voice and ambient sound in one pass), burning in the on-screen hook text, and scheduling it to Reels, TikTok and Shorts. You can also choose formats that are not avatars at all, like claymation or car yapper, at the same price per second.

That last argument is the weakest part of our case, and I want to be fair about it. Several of these tools also write scripts or analyse URLs, and some include features we do not have. "Cheapest finished ad" is our framing, not a neutral standard. The table above is the neutral part.

What hidden costs change the real price per ad?

The sticker price per video is rarely what you end up paying per ad you actually run. Things to check on any tool, including ours:

  • Rejected renders. If a tool renders before you approve, every idea you throw away is paid for. Addy writes concepts for free and renders nothing until you swipe to approve one.
  • Failed renders. Ask whether credits come back when a render fails. Ours are refunded automatically.
  • Credit expiry. Creatify says its credits expire after 2 months; MakeUGC says its credits do not roll over. Unused credits are a real cost if your output is uneven.
  • Length rounding. Per-minute billing can round up. HeyGen's help center says it charges for the actual seconds of avatar generation; not every tool says this clearly, so check how yours rounds.
  • Resolution upcharges. Higher resolution costs more almost everywhere. Our Standard quality renders at 480p and upscales to 720p for half the credits of HD; we explain why in our render bill breakdown.
  • Annual lock-in. MakeUGC and others show their lowest prices only on yearly billing. That is a fine deal once you know the tool works, not before.
  • Re-rolls. No AI video model nails every clip. Budget for some retries whichever tool you choose.

Where does each tool make more sense than the cheapest option?

Price is one input. Some honest reasons to pay more or pick differently:

  • Arcads is built around realistic actor-style talking heads. If photoreal actors are the one thing you care about and budget is not tight, the higher price may be worth it. Our Addy vs Arcads page goes into the trade-offs.
  • HeyGen is built for avatar video in general, not only ads: long videos, translation with lip-sync, custom avatars of yourself. If you also need training or explainer videos, one HeyGen plan may cover both.
  • Creatify has a large actor library and an API plan. See Addy vs Creatify.
  • MakeUGC positions itself around product-in-hand avatars, and its $1 trial is a cheap way to see if that style works for you. See Addy vs MakeUGC.
  • Addy makes sense if you want the whole loop from a URL, many different formats, and posting to Reels, TikTok and Shorts in one place.

We also keep a side-by-side of plan prices across these tools on our 2026 pricing comparison.

What are the limits of this comparison?

  • Prices change fast. Creatify's current plans differ from the ones we recorded earlier in October. Everything here is as of October 25, 2026.
  • Output quality is not priced in. A cheaper clip you cannot run is not cheaper. We did not score quality, because any score we gave would be biased.
  • Units are not identical. A HeyGen minute, a Creatify 15-second video and an Addy 20-second ad are not the same product. We show the unit in every row so you can judge.
  • Some vendors were unavailable. We could not load ReelFarm's pricing page when we checked, so it is not in the table; it makes slideshows rather than video in any case. Superscale and MakeUGC do not publish per-video credit costs.
  • We are a vendor. I have tried to be fair, and the Addy row uses the same method as everyone else's. You should still verify anything that matters on each tool's own pricing page before paying.

Frequently asked questions

+What is the cheapest AI UGC video generator in 2026?

Per second of avatar video, HeyGen is cheapest among the tools we checked: about $0.50 to $0.78 per 20 seconds on its $29 Creator plan, as of October 2026. For a finished ad from a URL with script, scene and posting included, Addy is about $1.35 per 20-second ad on its $19 plan.

+How much does an AI UGC video cost per ad?

As of October 2026, roughly $0.50 to $1.40 per short clip on HeyGen, Creatify and Addy, and around $11 per video on Arcads based on a third-party review. MakeUGC and Superscale do not publish a per-video cost.

+Is Arcads worth the higher price?

If realistic actor-style talking heads are your priority and you already have scripts and a posting workflow, it can be. At around $11 per video it is the most expensive option we found, so test cheaper tools first if budget matters.

+Are there free AI UGC video generators?

Free tiers exist but are limited. HeyGen's free plan gives 3 watermarked videos a month, Creatify's gives 10 credits a month with a watermark, and Addy's 7-day trial includes one 20-second ad with no watermark and no card.

+Why do AI UGC tools charge in credits?

Because their underlying video models bill by second, model and resolution. Credits let the tool sell one plan while charging different amounts for different outputs, which is also why comparing tools requires converting credits back into price per video.
