Lookalike audience
Also called: LAL
A lookalike audience is a group of new people a platform finds because they resemble a source list such as your customers.
You upload or select a source (purchasers, email list, website visitors) and the platform builds an audience of similar users. Lookalikes still work, but on Meta they are now often outperformed by, or folded into, broad and Advantage+ targeting.
