Safe zone
The safe zone is the area of a vertical video that is not covered by the app's buttons, captions and profile info, where text and faces should stay.
On Reels, TikTok and Shorts the bottom of the screen holds the caption, the account name and the call-to-action button, and the right edge holds the like, comment and share buttons. Anything important placed there gets hidden. Each platform publishes slightly different margins.
