AI UGC
Also called: AI UGC ads, AI-generated UGC
AI UGC is a UGC-style video ad where the person on camera, the voice or both are generated by AI instead of filmed with a real creator.
An AI UGC tool writes a script, picks or generates an actor, and renders a portrait video that looks like a creator talking to their phone. It costs a fraction of a human creator, so brands use it to test many hooks quickly and then put money behind the winners.
The trade-offs are realism and disclosure. Viewers and platforms increasingly expect AI-generated people to be labelled, and some places now require it by law. See the disclosure rules.
Part of the Addy video ad glossary. Addy is an AI agent that writes, renders and posts short-form video ads.
